Song Of Peace Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDE CFGHIJK CLMCC NCCOPCQGR CPSCSCC CCGTU C

The fresh smells of ripe pineapplesA
planted by the pathway to the streamB
rejuvenate my nose with juicy flavorsC
and the greenish smells of fallen avocadoesC
Make my lips feelD
the buttery tasteE
-
The sight of our once wilted flowersC
blooming gladdens my ill heartF
and my people's distant chantingG
drives me back in timeH
to when the mild and meek shiveredI
in dying cold in an atmosphereJ
impregnated by gunpowderK
-
I sit with the kidsC
to tell them the story ofL
how they were brutally assaultedM
by vicious soul reapersC
and night time knightsC
-
When they woke upN
to the cries of their pinpricksC
mourning the death of their fathersC
whose souls fled before the cock crowedO
accompanied by cachophonyP
of killing machinesC
as their offspring's dreams got enslavedQ
in a trance swoopingG
them to become a trampR
-
How they were curbed in cubbyholesC
like rats awaiting Mr Grim reaper's visitationP
how the hectic street swayed to a sanctuaryS
no mongersC
and how they lost their dignityS
to the dogs vultures and owlsC
feasting on their beloved onesC
-
How silence ruled with gripping fearsC
in our hearts before we gained back our voiceC
to singG
in coherence to the waveT
of the waving bloodstained flagU
-
to sing the SONG OF PEACEC
