Rhyme Scheme: ABBB CDEFGHH IJKILMNO CCPQ RDSTSUVWX TUU YYYZ A2B2DC2D2 E2E2NE2 F2F2G2G2 E2E2TE2| Listen up dear folks and hear my words | A |
| For I have a tale that must be heard | B |
| It's about a crazy idea that has been stirred | B |
| Of food serving itself oh how absurd | B |
| - | |
| Imagine at your front a meal so grand | C |
| Serving itself | D |
| Ah | E |
| Will it be courteous | F |
| I bet my soul | G |
| Chaos will reign plates will sail | H |
| Food will fly a spaghetti hail | H |
| - | |
| Pots and pans incessantly cluttering the racks and sinks | I |
| In some noisy and endless debate | J |
| About no one to clean up for the nagging dinner to serve itself in time | K |
| It's a mess that stinks | I |
| Consuming self serving food is a labor of love | L |
| But putting up with the sabotage | M |
| Of hypocritical kitchenware | N |
| And the nagging dinner itself is like fighting a determined dragon | O |
| - | |
| And think of the risks at hand | C |
| Veggies might revolt and take a stand | C |
| Salads might dump | P |
| Dressing all over you at the command of some miniature animal proteins | Q |
| - | |
| And let's not even get started | R |
| On the table ethics of the food serving itself | D |
| Excuse me Mr Chicken could you pass the salt | S |
| Oh I'm sorry but I think there's already too much salt in me | T |
| Otherwise did you mean to lick a packet of salt | S |
| And a tiny piece of the chicken or are you just kidding | U |
| And could not it be better if you cooked a small piece of your meat | V |
| Then put a sea of salt in it | W |
| To see if it tastes alike on your portion man as on your tongue | X |
| - | |
| Won't things be crazy | T |
| Plates and forks would go flying | U |
| And our dining experience become terrifying | U |
| - | |
| The carrots might revolt and refuse to mash | Y |
| The broccoli may gang up and make a dash | Y |
| The gravy might pour itself and cause a splash | Y |
| And we'll all end up being stained with spaghetti sauce | Z |
| - | |
| So I'm afraid it's bad news | A2 |
| For all the lazy people | B2 |
| Who hope their dinner would magically serve itself | D |
| Nope sorry folks you're going to have to get up | C2 |
| Off that couch and do some work | D2 |
| - | |
| Though it takes some effort it's clear | E2 |
| Our table experience will be safer we won't have to fear | E2 |
| So wear your apron without a tear | N |
| Cook up that feast make it delicious and dear | E2 |
| - | |
| Now let's get cooking and create a feast | F2 |
| Start with some soup then move on to the roast beast | F2 |
| Mashed potatoes asparagus the list will not cease | G2 |
| And finally a little innovative maneuvers for the sweet release | G2 |
| - | |
| And then serve your dinner without any fear | E2 |
| And enjoy your meal with loved ones near | E2 |
| For hard work equals a happy tummy | T |
| And that's something we can all cheer | E2 |
