Little darlingA
When did you last encounter a poemB
That left you smiling from deep withinC
One to assure you you're my only loveD
Another to whisper sweet I love you sE
The final one to convey the I miss you sE
-
How much more should I inscribeF
In your honor for your eyes to findG
Hold your breath as you swiftly replyH
Caressing your pillow eyes sparkling in delightI
After the words 'Your name lingers on my lips'J
And if that's not enough how aboutK
Here I bring you chocolates wrapped with a verseL
-
How long must I engage your gazeM
With the images of you I've carefully pennedN
In the previous lines did you perceiveO
When I confessed emphasized read meP
As if the clay from which you were shapedQ
Was imbued with the essence of celestial dewR
-
I envy how you reside within my heartS
Every line I write your essence a partS
Until when will I convey that this artS
Finds its completion in your tender touchT
The mere mention of your name it clings so muchT
Here I am weaving you into this artS
My poems of the twenty first centuryP
Speak volumes of a love deeper than you knowU
