Lebrinah Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CCDDEFEF GGHHIIJ KLKLMMNAONEE APP

In the golden glow of the setting sunA
I find inspiration to pen another verseB
For a melodious name sweetly spunA
To capture moments for better or worseB
-
Mom gave you a name sturdy and grandC
But I bestowed a nickname a cherished brandC
Binu a moniker I know so well a name glassD
A gentle reminder of the days you'd call me DasD
From dolls to teletubbies to a magical CinderellaE
Rapunzel's 'tangle' to Barbie's allureF
And yes the captivating world of telenovelaE
Let's embark on memories both tender and pureF
-
I recall the little you oh so clearG
In my arms I'd soothe away your fearG
And in your eyes I'd see a guiding lightH
When your tiny hand held my finger so tightH
Time for a lullaby and so I'd singI
Just to see you quiet a symbol of comfort in springI
And so was your sleep my sister how serene you wereJ
-
Now you are grown almost a mirror of momK
Claiming my playlist from rocks to bluesL
For a moment Brooke Hogan was your calmK
But in that moment I forgot our cherished huesL
As I gaze ahead the weight of my heart growsM
For the distance that one day may be our woesM
When love finds you and you'll have to goN
I'll miss the days when you were my little BinuA
But then I recall your birthday and forget the worriesO
So when sadness finds you and tears start to flowN
I'll stand by you through the stumble and fallE
Remember I'd carry the weight of it allE
-
So here's to my dearest Lebrinah little BinuA
In every sunlight and twilight hueP
Know that my heart swells with pride for youP
