With due reverence and apologies to Stevie Smith
His message unsent, no signal,
Debate still in limbo:
His thirst only quenched by a tablet
Not with wisdom but info.
Poor chap, he always loved learning
So many views
It must have been too much for him his brain gave way,
Fake news.
Oh, no no no, there was too much always
(Often said to our hero)
He was much too thirsty all his life
But for wisdom not info.
Not Wisdom But Info

Poet's note: I have always loved Stevie Smith’s original and thinking of the scatter gun of the internet it struck me as a perfect form to vent my frustration
