Would solve such is the Sage's curseC
The riddle of the UniverseC

Thought turning round itself revolvedD
How was this puzzling World evolvedD

How came the starry sky to beE
The sun the earth the Nile the seaE

And Man most tragi comic ManF
Whence came he here and where beganF
-
Communing with the baffling skyG
Who twinkled but made no replyG
-
He brooded till his heated brainH
Grew fairly addled with the strainH
-
For in that dim benighted ageI
Philosopher and hoary sageI
-
Had not yet had the saving graceJ
To teach the Schools that Time and SpaceJ
-
And all the marvels they containH
Are but the phantoms of the brainH

But that profound Egyptian SeerK
Maybe who knows came pretty nearL

When after days of strenuous fastM
He hit the startling truth at lastM

And on select mysterious nightsN
Veiled in occult symbolic ritesN

He taught that once upon a timeO
To disbelieve it were a crimeO
-
The World's great egg refute who canF
That meditates on Life and ManF
-
While deafening cacklings spread the newsP
Was laid by an Almighty GooseQ
