Isaac Newton arose and showed how each planet moved.
He was the first that could flawlessly trace
Each orbit through vast expanded space.
He understood the depth of heaven, and reached the height,
Where comets through the empty revolving flow,
Their course slanted and settled period know;
Guided by him when we study his works,
Worlds beyond worlds he measured it all,
With his Philosopher’s Stone he filled the soul;
What’s the point of earth, this worldly seat,
How little it all appears, and God how great!
