The Woman Of My Imagination Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCCDE FGHIAJ KFLMNJ OEAPQE RSTAUV

The only place I see her is in my imaginationA
She is a smart blonde with long braidsB
I like her shapeliness and she is the right sizeC
This woman gives me a pleasant surpriseC
Maybe she is in love with me or she loves me notD
I cannot tell the way she feels about meE
-
She could be mean and promiscuousF
But chances are she is generous and chasteG
What difference does it makeH
Everybody has good and bad qualitiesI
She is not the most beautiful womanA
But in the land of fantasy she is quite okayJ
-
It does not matter if she is on a tropical isleK
Or sin a densely populated metropolisF
In my mind s eye she is present in this roomL
You may think I am talking in my sleepM
But I am wide awake in a daydreamN
I shall try not to get too carried awayJ
-
The woman in my imagination is all I haveO
She is not the ideal companion for meE
But she is the object of my hallucinationA
I am not sulky when she is on my mindP
Even though I am unable to touch herQ
She enchants my heart and that satisfies meE
-
The pianist is playing her favourite tuneR
While I am rendering a soft serenadeS
Friends I am alone in a fictitious romanceT
It is useless and boring to imagine a womanA
But she keeps whetting my appetiteU
Someday a real woman will take her placeV
