Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDEDFDGA BHIJDKDELMN DOPDBEIDPQR

I met Cassie in the city some years agoA
She was a cute girl with a trim figureB
I ve always been attracted to this kind of girlC
When she greeted me I fell for her instantlyD
And I begged God to make her love meD
It seemed that I wasn t going to win her heartE
But she began to evince her love for meD
Our closeness grew as time went byF
The love affair I had with her was like a fantasyD
I thought she d bring me lasting happinessG
On the contrary she brought me endless sorrowA
-
I wasn t the only man who fell for herB
But their hearts weren t shattered like mineH
She never expressed her love to themI
They didn t look deep into her brown eyesJ
She never smiled at them the way she smiled at meD
They never felt her awkward embraceK
She didn t kiss their lips gentlyD
And neither did she give them her heartE
They never caressed her soft skinL
She didn t promise to take away their bluesM
Above all she wasn t their first loveN
-
I experienced all these things with CassieD
I couldn t keep away from her for I was her conquestO
She was the sweetest person in my lifeP
The sudden break up came as a shock to meD
It s impossible not to think about herB
I haven t loved another girl since she stole my heartE
And I lie when I tell other girls that I love themI
I felt that she came into the world to love meD
But she was born to destroy my lifeP
Even though the pain of losing her is unbearableQ
I don t regret meeting her and I never willR
