I met Cassie in the city some years ago.
She was a cute girl with a trim figure.
I’ve always been attracted to this kind of girl.
When she greeted me, I fell for her instantly.
And I begged God to make her love me.
It seemed that I wasn’t going to win her heart,
But she began to evince her love for me.
Our closeness grew as time went by.
The love affair I had with her was like a fantasy.
I thought she’d bring me lasting happiness;
On the contrary, she brought me endless sorrow.
I wasn’t the only man who fell for her,
But their hearts weren’t shattered like mine.
She never expressed her love to them.
They didn’t look deep into her brown eyes.
She never smiled at them the way she smiled at me.
They never felt her awkward embrace.
She didn’t kiss their lips gently,
And neither did she give them her heart.
They never caressed her soft skin.
She didn’t promise to take away their blues.
Above all, she wasn’t their first love.
I experienced all these things with Cassie.
I couldn’t keep away from her, for I was her conquest.
She was the sweetest person in my life.
The sudden break-up came as a shock to me.
It’s impossible not to think about her.
I haven’t loved another girl since she stole my heart.
And I lie when I tell other girls that I love them.
I felt that she came into the world to love me,
But she was born to destroy my life.
Even though the pain of losing her is unbearable,
I don’t regret meeting her, and I never will.
