Old Songs Will Never Die Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Why do sweet songs end so quicklyA
And why do the blues hurt so badlyA
I can t help reminiscing the starry nightB
We were at a karaoke in New KingstonC
Soft music was playing and the guests were dancingD
-
I saw her standing alone by the windowE
She was singing soft and lowE
I walked right up to her and manneristically saidF
Would you like to danceG
Nothing felt quite as good as getting her consentH
-
I put my arms around her waist without hesitationC
And she invitingly hugged my neckI
We danced closely to the rhythm of the cha chaJ
-
I fell in love with her while we were dancingD
We kissed passionately near the poolsideK
I dried the tears from her cheeks with my handkerchiefL
And we didn t want the night to endM
-
Play me a tear jerking song with lyrics that sayN
She s gone my little gypsy is goneO
Her love made me feel so goodP
She s gone and now I feel so badQ
-
No matter the passing years old songs will never dieR
They remind me of the things we didS
Such as wine and dine kiss and embraceT
The memories of her haunt me in my sleepU
-
I wish the old songs could make my wish come trueV
Take me back in time to where I met herW
It was an exciting night with an adorable womanC
