My Spanish Girlfriend Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABC DEC FGH IGJK GLM DNG

Two weeks ago I ran into a Spanish girl on the beachA
She s a native of Guant namo CubaB
The problem is that she speaks a foreign languageC
-
How do I say you re beautiful in SpanishD
I want to tell Ramona that I like her smileE
But I don t know how to say it in her languageC
-
Although we don t understand each other when we speakF
She s in love with me and I m in love with herG
We write the things we want to say and translate onlineH
-
I wish I could speak Spanish fluentlyI
We can hardly communicate with each otherG
She doesn t know how to tell me about the feelings in her heartJ
But I see true love in Ramona s eyesK
-
I m going to visit her native land next summerG
She ll introduce me to her parents and siblingsL
And when we get back I ll introduce her to my momM
-
I ll study Spanish and she ll study EnglishD
And I ll marry my cute Spanish girlfriendN
The language barrier won t prevent us from loving each otherG
