How Did We Love And Lose? Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHEIJK LMKNLO

Ang lique you did not meet me by chanceA
We grew up together in the same homeB
Two lovable children formed a special bondC
We used to play hide and seek in the parkD
And we would scare the meadowlarks awayE
Darling these things are not easy to forgetF
-
The years went by and your body changedG
Something happened to our heartsH
We began to look at each other in a different wayE
And our embraces gave us a different feelingI
When we were old enough to make loveJ
It was a new and enjoyable experience to usK
-
We felt that we were made for each otherL
Darling how did we love and loseM
Youthful infatuation brought us happinessK
Now we live apart in a world of painN
If there is a way to bring us back togetherL
Ang lique I believe that someday we will find itO
