One morning I heard the sound of wings flapping.
And I found a fledgling in the garden.
It was a wild but friendly little bird.
Surprisingly, I caught it so easily.
And I named the fledgling Chirpy.
I didn’t know what kind of bird it was.
Chirpy was just learning how to fly.
I walked around with Chirpy for a while.
The fledgling wasn’t afraid of me.
I tried to put Chirpy back in the garden,
But the birdie didn’t want to go away.
It kept clinging to my right hand.
The next morning Chirpy was on the veranda.
And at the end of the day, it flew away.
