Time like dust on the winds
There and then it goes
So are the eyes of those strangers
As past their lives flow
A brief glance never enough
Never enough to know
Where strangers in the hour glass ever hope to go
This one is smiling softly
Lost in some sweet thought
That one hiding painful scars
Of battles they have fought
Another speaks in lectures
For lessons must be taught
But each of a unique life
A glance will show me naught
As for them same for me
For in my shadow cast
There is no reflection of
The tales that make my past
Ignorant of where roads lead
Strangers In The Hour Glass
