When you close your eyes do you think of me
Am I just a picture on the wall, just a memory
By the look in your eyes I can tell
What use to be funny is no more
Can't you see the hurt in me
have you been blinded by ignorance
This is me, I always try to be me
That is all I can be, is just me
The excitement was and is no more
Poverty is knocking at our front door
While love is running away at the back door
The smile that use to greet me
Scare the hell out of me
We've drifted apart you don't even see that
My heart is in peaces, my smile deceiving
My whole body years for you but I understand
