A Social CommentaryA
-
Where is the truthB
Hiding in plain sightC
With neon lightsD
Brightly ShinningE
-
Where is the truthB
Hidden behind a big deskE
Where it is seen at bestF
With two eyes dressed in a suit and tieG
-
Where is the truthB
Wrapped around a red white and blue flagE
Attached to a set of laws in a garbage bagE
Saying something and speaking nothingE
-
Where is the truthB
Around the necks of those who are freeA
Hanging like forbidden fruit in a treeA
Saying nothing and talking loudH
-
Where is the truthB
Sweating in the noon day sunI
Burning like a raisin one by oneI
Talking from the side of their red necksJ
-
One side truthB
The other brushed it asideK
Giving us a rideK
From one hell to another hellL
-
The other side kept the liesM
Tucked it in their money belts in their pocket full of liesM
And if the world burns up they wouldn't care for many reasons whyG
Keeping secrets that secrets keep those secrets keptN
-
So where is the truthB
I bet it went to hell and backE
And colored red and blackE
Still lies run deepO
-
Look closer and magnifyG
The germs of lies under us allP
Small medium and tallP
Lies are running so deepO
-
I said the lies are running so deepO
Like rivers flowing and flooding our very streetsQ
Drowning every person covering them like they have been beatR
Like Katrina no one is around to helpS
-
Where is the truthB
For some flushed down the toilet of lifeT
As we wipe our tails with the tissues of misery and strifeT
-
Where is the truthB
It turned into liesM
And it's turned upside down besidesU
Will it matter anywayV
-
A lie is a lie is a lieG
No matter how you turn it friendsW
A lie is a lie is a lieG
It may never ever endX
Because that lie is a lieG
If you steal you'll lieG
And a lie because a lie is a lieG
