I can't breathe!
For eight minutes and 46 seconds
George Floyd cried
Just before he died
Before those who saw him pinned down.
I can't breathe!
For eight minutes and 46 seconds
George Floyd cried aloud
And being witnessed by the crowd
Just as he gets pinned down.
It took eight minutes and 46 minutes
To kill a man
Dying for no reason
Like it's killing season
But why kill no man that can't breathe?
For eight minutes and 46 seconds
Where a police officer decide to play God
To press their knee on his neck and what's odd
They penned him down
But he couldn't breathe.
It was eight minutes and 46 seconds
They let a man die
On the street but why?
Why use their knee to kill?
And now the world stands still
To see what will happen next.
