Biography of Kenneth R. Jenkins

Kenneth R. Jenkins was born 1 June 1961 in Augusta, GA. He was raised in Chicago,IL when he went on to be educated briefly in the Cook County, IL school system when at somewhere between the third and fourth grade discovered his writing talent.

His parents moved to Savannah, GA where his parents lived, the child of Robert and Marieta Jenkins and the oldest of four siblings. He continued writing when his first poem was published in the Westside Weekly Newspaper with his poem, "The Night Christ Was Born", he was 16 years-old at the time.

He went on to finish Tompkins High School in 1981 and attended both Savannah State University and South University.
Jenkins went on to published more poetry and editorials for The Savannah Herald Newspaper, Creative Loafing, The Gospel Truth Newspaper and The South Florida Newsweek.

Jenkins is also author of 5 self-published books of poetry and working currently working on his first mystery novel as well as as other books.
He now has a host of nieces and nephews.

Jenkins also is a podcast host/producer, minister and devoted husband to his wife Vanessa living in Savannah, GA.
