a social commentaryA
-
Where is the loveB
For our brothersC
Gun down for n'o reasonD
Killing brothers like it's deer seasonD
-
Why in God's name those in blueE
Are sworn to protect and serveF
Acting like thugsG
And that's not coolH
And while sworn to their dutyA
But wearing masks like KlansmanD
With terrorist ideas you feel meA
Killing us off one by one by oneD
There's nothing more sadderI
Of what's going on and yes Black Lives MatterI
-
While we are being stopped for no reasonD
Be it a tail light license plate expiredJ
Or checking IDs to see who areK
We get uptight like Cookie on EmpireI
Then expressing the matter at handL
Off to jail and before the judge's standL
Funny how things are getting badderI
I still say Black Lives MatterI
-
With all this drama on the streetsM
And blood is shed one soul at a timeN
And with every heart beatO
This world is cruel to be kindP
As they beat us upside our headsQ
There's a refrain repeating againD
Oops upside your headR
Oops upside your headR
Oops upside your headR
Saying oops upside your headR
FairI
What is fairI
Only in AmericaS
Our bodies bruised and batteredT
From battles foughtU
Yes I still believe that Black Lives MatterI
-
The blue men are getting out of handL
That's blue men with white skinD
Wearing a frown of evil on their facesV
And not knowing foe or friendW
Even if you come up to them real closeX
It's that mask they wear to disguiseY
That burning of hateZ
That you can see in their eyesY
But just enough and to close you'll burnD
There's evil all around themA2
-
On the streets we raise hellB2
Loud and trying to be peacefulC2
While the noise is deafen everywhereI
The silence in the community begins to swellB2
And bodies drop one by one by oneD
Black bodies are snatched from us and shatteredT
But I still believe Black Lives MatterI
-
Six million Jews died during the HolocaustD2
While being held under Hitler's thumbE2
Now more of our young black men dieF2
With many more souls continue to be lostD2
For those crimes they say we've doneD
While fathers lose their sonsG2
And sons lose their fathersC
Yes Black Lives Do MatterI
-
Dear Father I pray for our Black menD
Who died in the heat of all these thingsH2
Where's the loveB
For our brothersC
That's gunned down for no reasonD
Killing them on by oneD
Like it's going out of seasonD
I still believeI2
Black Lives MatterI
Killing them one by oneD
