Train Journey Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIIJJKLMA

Glassed with cold sleep and dazzled by the moonA
out of the confused hammering dark of the trainB
I looked and saw under the moon's cold sheetC
your delicate dry breasts country that built my heartD
and the small trees on their uncoloured slopeE
like poetry moved articulate and sharpF
and purposeful under the great dry flight of airG
under the crosswise currents of wind and starH
Clench down your strength box tree and ironbarkI
Break with your violent root the virgin rockI
Draw from the flying dark its breath of dewJ
till the unliving come to life in youJ
Be over the blind rock a skin of senseK
under the barren height a slender danceL
I woke and saw the dark small trees that burnM
suddenly into flowers more lovely that the white moonA
