with shouted prayers and prophecies | J |

While past the campfire's crimson ring | L |
the star struck darkness cupped him round | M |
and centuries of cattle bells | N |
rang with their sweet uneasy sound | M |

Grass is across the wagon tracks | D |
and plough strikes bone beneath the grass | O |
and vineyards cover all the slopes | P |
where the dead teams were used to pass | O |

O vine grow close upon that bone | Q |
and hold it with your rooted hand | R |
The prophet Moses feeds the grape | S |
and fruitful is the Promised Land | R |
