The Man

Poet's note: This is a Haiku poem. A poem of 5/7/5. The five line is five syllabus, the second line is seven syllabus and the last line is five syllabus. The poem mirrors the fate of Nigerians under the leadership of visionless and unpatriotic hearts. As stated in line1 "Hope of the led rusted", this simply means that the led is hopeless. The second line decries the situation of this hopelessness of the masses "Palliative hijacked at noon", what is meant for the masses is hijacked, jobs, development, education, security and even palliatives (food materials). The last line shows the reaction of the masses in regards to this wicked treatment by those who are supposed to protect them, "Hearts storm the warehouses". The masses have decided to help themselves because the so called leaders wish them death, especially at this trying time of the Plague. The Poet Persona is sad, hurt and Pained with the situation of things in his country Nigeria. He wish that the leaders will pervert from their wickedness and turn a new leaf.
