I Have A Dead Friend (verse Viii) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AAAA BAB CAD EFG HIH JKJK

I have a dead friend who latelyA
Has begun to visit meA
My friend sits down and sings to meA
Sings to me so dolefullyA
-
'Upon the double winged bird's backB
I am rowing through skies of blueA
One of the bird's wings is blackB
The other gold of Cariboo '-
-
'The heart's a madman that abhorsC
One color as one too fewA
Either its love is two colorsD
Or else it is not love's hue '-
-
'There's a madwoman more savageE
Than is the unhappy heartF
She that sucks the blood in rageG
And then a laughing would start '-
-
'A heart that has lost foreverH
The steadfast anchor of homeI
Sails like a ship in fould weatherH
And knows not to go or come '-
-
If his anguish should betray himJ
The dead man will curse and weepK
I pat his skull and I lay himJ
Lay the dead man down to sleepK
