Wlld Nosegay. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCDCDDEFEF| The yellow lambtoe I have often got | A |
| Sweet creeping o'er the banks in summer time | B |
| And totter grass in many a trembling knot | A |
| And robb'd the molehill of its bed of thyme | B |
| And oft with anxious feelings would I climb | B |
| The waving willow row a stick to trim | C |
| To reach the water lily's tempting flower | D |
| That on the surface of the pool did swim | C |
| I've stretch'd and tried vain schemes for many an hour | D |
| And scrambled up the hawthorn's prickly bower | D |
| For ramping woodbines and blue bitter sweet | E |
| Still Summer blooms these flowers appear again | F |
| But ah the question's useless to repeat | E |
| When will the feelings come I witness'd then | F |
