To * * * * * * Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCABDEDEFGHGF

Thou lovely bud with many weeds surroundedA
I once again address thee with a songB
To cheer thee up 'gainst Envy's adder tongueC
That deeply oft thy reputation woundedA
And did thy tender blossom mickle wrongB
But look thou up 'tis known in nature's lawD
That serpents seek the honey hoarding beeE
Rosemary's sweets the loathsome toad will drawD
So beauty curdles envy's look on theeE
Fain would the peacock's tail the bow expressF
Which paints the clouds so sweet in April's rainG
And just the same that imp of uglinessH
Mimics thy lovely blossom but in vainG
And fain would poison what he can't possessF
