To My Cottage. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBCDEDEFG

Thou lowly cot where first my breath I drewA
Past joys endear thee childhood's past delightB
Where each young summer's pictur'd on my viewA
And dearer still the happy winter nightB
When the storm pelted down with all his mightB
And roar'd and bellow'd in the chimney topC
And patter'd vehement 'gainst the window lightB
And on the threshold fell the quick eaves dropC
How blest I've listen'd on my corner stoolD
Heard the storm rage and hugg'd my happy spotE
While the fond parent wound her whirring spoolD
And spar'd a sigh for the poor wanderer's lotE
In thee sweet hut this happiness was prov'dF
And thee endear and make thee doubly lov'dG
