To John Clare Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDADEFEFFGHG

Well honest John how fare you now at homeA
The spring is come and birds are building nestsB
The old cock robin to the sty is comeC
With olive feathers and its ruddy breastD
And the old cock with wattles and red combA
Struts with the hens and seems to like some bestD
Then crows and looks about for little crumbsE
Swept out by little folks an hour agoF
The pigs sleep in the sty the bookman comesE
The little boy lets home close nesting goF
And pockets tops and taws where daisies blowF
To look at the new number just laid downG
With lots of pictures and good stories tooH
And Jack the Giant killer's high renownG
