Hail soothing balm Ye breezes blowA
Ransack the flower and blossom'd treeB
All all your stolen gifts bestowA
For Health has granted all to meB
-
And may this blessing long be mineC
May I this favour still enjoyD
Then never shall my heart repineC
Nor yet its long continuance cloyD
-
And though I cannot boast O HealthE
Of aught beside but only theeB
I would not change this bliss for wealthE
No not for all the eye can seeB
-
Wealth without thee is useless madeF
Void of the smallest happy sparkG
Yes just as useless to give aidF
As mirrors set to light the darkG
-
Thy voice I hear thy form I seeB
In silence echo stream or cloudH
Now that strong voice belongs to theeB
Which woods and hills repeat so loudH
-
The leaf the flower the spiry bladeF
The hanging drops of pearly dewI
The russet heath the woodland shadeF
All all can bring thee in my viewI
-
With thee I seek the woodland shadeF
Beset in briery wilds amongJ
With thee I tread the tufted gladeF
Transported by the woodlark's songK
-
With thee I wander where the sheepL
In groups display a checquer'd trainC
Where weedy waters winding creepL
Nor wilt thou fallow clod disdainC
-
Then hail sweet charm Ye breezes blowA
Ransack the flower and blossom'd treeB
All all your stolen gifts bestowA
For Health has granted all to meB
