To Elia Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFEFEGEHE

Elia thy reveries and visioned themesA
To care's lorn heart a luscious pleasure proveB
Wild as the mystery of delightful dreamsA
Soft as the anguish of remembered loveC
Like records of past days their memory dancesD
Mid the cool feelings manhood's reason bringsE
As the unearthly visions of romancesF
Peopled with sweet and uncreated thingsE
And yet thy themes thy gentle worth enhancesF
Then wake again thy wild harp's tenderest stringsE
Sing on sweet Bard let fairy loves againG
Smile in thy dreams with angel ecstasiesE
Bright over our souls will break the heavenly strainH
Through the dull gloom of earth's realitiesE
