To Autumn. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDFFGHIJCome pensive Autumn with thy clouds and storms | A |
And falling leaves and pastures lost to flowers | B |
A luscious charm hangs on thy faded forms | A |
More sweet than Summer in her loveliest hours | B |
Who in her blooming uniform of green | C |
Delights with samely and continued joy | D |
But give me Autumn where thy hand hath been | E |
For there is wildness that can never cloy | D |
The russet hue of fields left bare and all | F |
The tints of leaves and blossoms ere they fall | F |
In thy dull days of clouds a pleasure comes | G |
Wild music softens in thy hollow winds | H |
And in thy fading woods a beauty blooms | I |
That's more than dear to melancholy minds | J |
