The Peasant Poet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFEFGHGH

He loved the brook's soft soundA
The swallow swimming byB
He loved the daisy covered groundA
The cloud bedappled skyB
To him the dismal storm appearedC
The very voice of GodD
And when the evening rack was rearedC
Stood Moses with his rodD
And everything his eyes surveyedE
The insects in the brakeF
Were creatures God Almighty madeE
He loved them for His sakeF
A silent man in life's affairsG
A thinker from a boyH
A peasant in his daily caresG
A poet in his joyH
