Sudden Shower Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABCBCBDBDEDFBlack grows the southern sky betokening rain | A |
And humming hive bees homeward hurry bye | B |
They feel the change so let us shun the grain | A |
And take the broad road while our feet are dry | B |
Ay there some dropples moistened on my face | C |
And pattered on my hat tis coming nigh | B |
Let's look about and find a sheltering place | C |
The little things around like you and I | B |
Are hurrying through the grass to shun the shower | D |
Here stoops an ash tree hark the wind gets high | B |
But never mind this ivy for an hour | D |
Rain as it may will keep us dryly here | E |
That little wren knows well his sheltering bower | D |
Nor leaves his dry house though we come so near | F |
