Now Is Past Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBCBB BABDBAEDEB CCCCBFDFDB

Now is past the happy nowA
When we together rovedB
Beneath the wildwood's oak tree boughA
And Nature said we lovedB
Winter's blastB
The now since then has crept betweenC
And left us both apartB
Winters that withered all the greenC
Have froze the beating heartB
Now is pastB
-
Now is past since last we metB
Beneath the hazel boughA
Before the evening sun was setB
Her shadow stretched belowD
Autumn's blastB
Has stained and blighted every boughA
Wild strawberries like her lipsE
Have left the mosses green belowD
Her bloom's upon the hipsE
Now is pastB
-
Now is past is changed agenC
The woods and fields are painted newC
Wild strawberries which both gathered thenC
None know now where they grewC
The skys oercastB
Wood strawberries faded from wood sidesF
Green leaves have all turned yellowD
No Adelaide walks the wood ridesF
True love has no bed fellowD
Now is pastB
