Night Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABCBBDEDDFDFGGNight spreads upon the plain her ebon pall | A |
Day seems unable to wash out the stain | B |
A pausing truce kind nature gives to all | C |
And fairy nations now have leave to reign | B |
So may conjecturing Fancy think and feign | B |
Doubtless in tiny legions now unseen | D |
They venture from their dwellings once again | E |
From keck stalk cavity or hollow bean | D |
Or perfum'd bosom of pea flower between | D |
They to the dark green rings now haste to meet | F |
To dance or pay some homage to their queen | D |
Or journey on some pilgrim friend to greet | F |
With rushy switch they urge some beetle's flight | G |
And ride to revel ere 'tis morning light | G |
