Home Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEDBEBEFF

O home however homely thoughts of theeA
Can never fail to cheer the absent breastB
How oft wild raptures have been felt by meA
When back returning weary and distrestB
How oft I've stood to see the chimney pourC
Thick clouds of smoke in columns lightly blueD
And close beneath the house leek's yellow flowerE
While fast approaching to a nearer viewD
These though they're trifles ever gave delightB
E'en now they prompt me with a fond desireE
Painting the evening group before my sightB
Of friends and kindred seated round the fireE
O Time how rapid did thy moments flowF
That chang'd these scenes of joy to scenes of woeF
