Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEECCCCFFGHII JJKKLLMMII

Dear brother robin this comes from us allA
With our kind love and could Gip write and allA
Though but a dog he'd have his love to spareB
For still he knows and by your corner chairB
The moment he comes in he lyes him downC
and seems to fancy you are in the townC
This leaves us well in health thank God for thatD
For old acquaintance Sue has kept your hatD
Which mother brushes ere she lays it byeE
and every sunday goes upstairs to cryE
Jane still is yours till you come back agenC
and neer so much as dances with the menC
and ned the woodman every week comes inC
and asks about you kindly as our kinC
and he with this and goody Thompson sendsF
Remembrances with those of all our friendsF
Father with us sends love untill he hearsG
and mother she has nothing but her tearsH
Yet wishes you like us in health the sameI
and longs to see a letter with your nameI
So loving brother don't forget to writeJ
Old Gip lies on the hearth stone every nightJ
Mother can't bear to turn him out of doorsK
and never noises now of dirty floorsK
Father will laugh but lets her have her wayL
and Gip for kindness get a double payL
So Robin write and let us quickly seeM
You don't forget old friends no more than weM
Nor let my mother have so much to blameI
To go three journeys ere your letter cameI
