Braggart Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDAECEDDFGFG

With careful step to keep his balance upA
He reels on warily along the streetB
Slabbering at mouth and with a staggering stoopC
Mutters an angry look at all he meetsD
Bumptious and vain and proud he shoulders upA
And would be something if he knew but howE
To any man on earth he will not stoopC
But cracks of work of horses and of ploughE
Proud of the foolish talk the ale he quaffsD
He never heeds the insult loud that laughsD
With rosy maid he tries to joke and playF
Who shrugs and nettles deep his pomp and prideG
And calls him 'drunken beast' and runs awayF
King to himself and fool to all besideG
