Disarmament Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD

One spake amid the nations Let us ceaseA
From darkening with strife the fair World's lightB
We who are great in war be great in peaceA
No longer let us plead the cause by mightB
-
But from a million British graves took birthC
A silent voice the million spake as oneD
If ye have righted all the wrongs of earthC
Lay by the sword Its work and ours is doneD
