A Snow Mountain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABABAB CDCDEF

Can I make white enough my thought for theeA
Or wash my words in light Thou hast no mateB
To sit aloft in the silence silentlyA
And twin those matchless heights undesecrateB
Reverend as Lear when lorn of shelter heA
Stood with his old white head surprised at fateB
Alone as Galileo when set freeA
Before the stars he mused disconsolateB
-
Ay and remote as the dead lords of songC
Great masters who have made us what we areD
For thou and they have taught us how to longC
And feel a sacred want of the fair and farD
Reign and keep life in this our deep desireE
Our only greatness is that we aspireF
