A radiant thing made out of dreams | B |
Love's dear desire its golden stair | A |
Naught heavier than a hope was there | A |
A thing of mist and rainbow gleams | B |

But when it fell ah when it fell | C |
Though made o' dreams and mist and shine | D |
The mystery of it who can tell | C |
Its falling shook both heaven and hell | C |
And ground to dust this heart of mine | D |
