like royalty on a throne, it scans from the tree top
like a radar, it's ears pick up the faint noises
like a telescope, it's amber eyes spot the prey
like a falling leaf, it climbs down silently from the tree
like a shadow, it moves towards its quarry silently
like a picture, it freezes when the prey gets nervous
like a stealth bomber, it is on the move again
like a sniper, it keeps out of sight
like a guided missile it's eyes are locked on the prey
like a lightening bolt it strikes furiously…but misses
like a demon after a soul, it doesn’t give up the hunt
like a foul smell it clings to the prey, stalking it
like a true fighter, it keys up again, for another strike
like a bad accident it surprises it's quarry... again
like a marks-man it is true to it's target…this time
like a snare, it's jaws and claws trap the dik-dik
like a sharp blade, it's teeth end the life of the dik-dik
like a ghost, it melts in the long grass to feast
like a spirit, all feel its presence but can’t see it
like a leopard, it becomes a shadow just to kill again
