Blink Of An Eye Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGFG HBHB

My vision at times hurts and needs reliefA
It finds this in the blink of an eyeB
My vision darkens at times of disbeliefA
This happens in a blink of an eyeB
-
Each day I go through I must cherishC
For each blink means one's closer to slumberD
The looming day wherein one will perishC
Each eye shut reminds me of days numberedE
-
The times which pass graze my lifeF
Like the wind caressing my faceG
Thoughts of past present and future strifeF
Make it difficult to set one's own paceG
-
But for now the clocks do still runH
Although more weathered days go byB
Seasoned players old moments in the sunH
Memories are gone in the blink of an eyeB
