You Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA AThe world may have taken all from you | A |
And all may seem to have gone from you | A |
But the extraordinary thing about you | A |
Is the resilience I have beheld in you | A |
The right to keep hoping in you | A |
Can not be taken from you | A |
And this is most dreadful about you | A |
When all the storm is come to calm you | A |
The you in you will still be seen in you | A |
Though they removed school from you | A |
Learning is still an enviable part of you | A |
May you not disappoint the hope in you | A |
Learn not to learn from leaders of you | A |
They hope not the same hope in you | A |
The unbroken spirit bestowed on you | A |
Is my only joy to hope in you | A |
Stay safe and learn the safety about you | A |
For their evil expectation about you | A |
Is sacrosanct as the corona against you | A |
'Stay home' is the message for you | A |
For tomorrow is another day for you | A |

Poet's note: From the spring of 2020 through to summer, children all over the world were kept out of school due to the Coronavirus pandemic. Few of them had resorted to online learning but a majority were helpless. In some cases, the citizens had bemoaned the negligence of their leaders in providing the necessary palliatives that would take them back to the classroom. The poet sees hope in the children.
