To Neobule. Iii-12 (from The Odes Of Horace) Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABACACDEDE

Ah Unhappy are the maidens who love's game are kept from playingA
Nor in mellow wine may wash away their caresB
Who scared by scolding uncles' tongues their terror are displayingA
But from you though Neobul Cupid bearsB
Your basket and your webs yet all the zeal you have been showingA
For industrious Minerva is the preyC
Of fair Hebrus Lipar an when his shoulders oiled and glowingA
He has bathed in Tiber's waters Let me sayC
As a horseman than Bellerophon he's really something greaterD
Never worsted in a hand fight nor a raceE
Skilled to shoot the flying stag herd in the open swift he laterD
Snares the boar close hidden in a shady placeE
