At Miami Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAACCA DEFDGF

Here where the proud hibiscus blooms in flameA
Where swaying palms nod lightly to the seaB
Where each azalea towers a stately treeB
And orange blossoms charm today I cameA
Upon a little flower unknown to fameA
Half hid in the scant sward white as this shellC
From yonder beach and I can hardly tellC
What drew me to it murmuring its nameA
-
Bred in cool meadows vagrant from the NorthD
Fair Dewberry what art thou doing hereE
Or chance or purpose started thee to roamF
And yet whatever power sent thee forthD
Still it is thine to call the sudden tearG
To stir the trembling heart with thoughts of homeF
