While we were left with broken hearts | I |

And next the patriarch who led | F |
For nearly three score years | J |
Our Sabbath school its worthy head | F |
Rekindled all our fears | J |

Forth one of good report | M |
Our Superintendent is his name | L |
Who tries to hold the fort | M |
With wisdom tact and rare good sense | N |
In this his first experience | O |
- | |
The world looks on and says How strange | P |
They hang together so | Q |

But right straight onward go | Q |
While other flocks are scattering all | R |
And some have strayed beyond recall | R |
