Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBACBBC DEDEED

Upon my smile let none pass complimentA
If it but gleam like an enchanting rayB
Of sunshine caught from some sweet summer dayB
In atmosphere of rose and jasmine scentA
And breath of honeysuckles redolentC
When with the birds that sing their lives awayB
In harmony the treetops bend and swayB
And all the world with joy is eloquentC
-
But in that day of gloom when skies severeD
Portend the tempest gathering overheadE
If by my face some token shall appearD
Inspiring hope dispelling darksome dreadE
Oh be the rapture mine that it be saidE
Her smile is like the rainbow full of cheerD
