Revenge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABAB CCDED FFBFB GGHGH IIJIJ AAKAL MMNMN BBOBP BBCBE

Beside my window day and nightA
Its tendrils reaching left and rightA
A morning glory grewB
With blossoms covered pink and whiteA
And deep delicious blueB
-
Its care became my daily thoughtC
Who to the sweet diversion broughtC
A bit of florist skillD
To guide its progress till it caughtE
The meaning of my willD
-
When through the trellis in and outF
It bent and turned and climbed aboutF
And so ambitious grewB
O'erleaped a chasm beyond the spoutF
Where raindrops trickled throughB
-
Then in caressing graceful wayG
Around a door knob twined one dayG
With modest show of prideH
All unaware that danger layG
Just on the other sideH
-
An awkward verdant maid of workI
Who dearly loved her tasks to shirkI
While rummaging amongJ
Unused apartments with a jerkI
The door wide open flungJ
-
And lo there lay uprooted quiteA
The object of my heart's delightA
I did not weep or rantK
And yet a grain or two of spiteA
My secret thoughts would hauntL
-
So when at night her favorite beauM
Beside his charmer sat belowM
That is dans le cuisineN
Occurred as all the neighbors knowM
A semi tragic sceneN
-
The garden hose obscured from viewB
Turned on itself and drenched the twoB
A hapless circumstanceO
That lengthened out her frizzes newB
But shrunk his Sunday pantsP
-
Remember this was years agoneB
The madcap now hath sober grownB
And hose is better wroughtC
And neither now would run aloneB
The risk of being caughtE
