Margaret Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDE FGAHIG DJKJCJ DJLJDM NOPOKO

I saw her for a momentA
Her presence haunts me yetB
In oft recurring visionsC
Of grace and gladness metB
That marked the sweet demeanorD
Of dainty MargaretE
-
Like gossamer her robe wasF
Around her lightly drawnG
A filmy summer garmentA
That fairy maidens donH
To make them look like angelsI
Croqueting on the lawnG
-
The mallet sport became herD
In hue of exerciseJ
That tinged her cheek with rosesK
And dancing in her eyesJ
Were pantomime suggestionsC
Of having won a prizeJ
-
No more to me a strangerD
Is she who occupiesJ
A place in all my musingsL
And brings in tender guiseJ
A thought of one so like herD
Long years in ParadiseM
-
Dear Margaret that pearl nameN
Is thine and may it beO
The synonym of goodnessP
Of truth and purityO
And all ennobling gracesK
Exemplified in theeO
